Our Programmes

Preparatory, Foundation and Pre-Professional Certificate Course

These are the first and second stages of the Institute Professional Programmes. They constitute solid preparations, foundation and starting point in the security and safety profession.

These are professional education of security and protection covering protection of lives, property, facilities, utilities, public assets and security management in a variety of neighborhood, community policing, public, private, commercial and residential settings

Advanced Diploma Programmes (Supervisory and Professional Certificate Course)

These programmes are designed to provide an appreciation at a professional level of the technical and strategic stage of security and safety practice. Students undertake core modules on the theory, practice and development of security protection, investigative sciences, criminal intelligence.

The third and fourth stages of the professional career level of the Institute programme which are modules III & IV. They cover combination of work place experiences and professional schedmes in security protection,neighborhood and community policing, criminal intelligence.

Welcome to FUNAAB

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) was established as a specialised University on January 1, 1988 by the Federal Government of Nigeria with a tripodal mandate of Teaching, Research and Extension Services.

The land area of FUNAAB cover about 10,000 hectares in the North Eastern end of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. The university has 351 academic programmes made up of 30 undergraduate programmes, 321 graduate programmes which include 31 Postgraduate diploma programmes, 152 Masters degree programmes and 138 Doctorate degree programmes.

Admission Requirements - Diploma Programmes

Holders of WAEC, SSCE/GCE (O/L) with pass in minimum of five papers, Grade II Teachers Certificate, Practicing and in service Training course Certificate issued by Military, Paramilitary and Police Training Schools.

Tuition Fees: N100, 000.00

Admission Requirements - Advanced Diploma Programmes

Holder of University Degree, HND and relevant professional qualifications in appropriate disciple in particularly security, social sciences, humanity, management, physical sciences engineering and technology.

(a) Holders of OND, NCE or in Security, Crime Management, Social Science, Humanity, Management, Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology plus five years of experience as Senior Security Officer/Manager/Controller

(b) Diploma in Security Operations and Management

Duration: Two Semesters

Tuition Fees: N120, 000.00
